one of the first people I met when I moved to Fargo 9 years ago. as a German car enthusiast, it was nice to meet someone who shared my passions. they've been working on my 1999 toyota lately, work is excellent. A+
I brought my car in to have an exhaust problem looked at. They identified it, told me it wasn't something they could fix, didn't charge me a dime for the service, and directed me to another shop that was able to help me. Great people. And they have the boldness and integrity to post a large anti-Trump sign right outside their business, unafraid of the potential backlash.
I contacted Jaq's to find out if they could do brakes on my 2014 Range Rover Sport. I brought it in at their request to make sure they could. Not only were they able to do the work, but their price was more reasonable than the dealership. Due to an impending blizzard I brought the Rover in one day before my appointment, and they got it done before the storm hit. Matt was great to work with and everyone there is very friendly. I'll definitely be back for future needs.
Matt was very helpful in leading me in the right direction to get my BMW fixed. Very upstanding auto shop. 5 STAH!
The best place to get your foreign car fixed. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
I took my 99 Saab convertible in to get some issues fixed because a mouse got into my engine compartment over winter storage. They gave me a quote and said when they got into it, if they thought it would be more, they'd call. It turned out that they were very close in their original quote. :) They fixed all of my issues - 2 that my GMC dealership wouldn't even help me with. They have a cold storage building out back where they keep the vehicles overnight or if you can't get there right away to pick it up. My car was fixed quickly. My only problem is that they are all the way over in Moorhead. They are super friendly! I would recommend them to anyone and I will be bringing my Saab back to them if needed.
JAQ's does an excellent job of listening to and understanding what their customers need and helping them find the best path for them. I have been there now with one really complex problem and again for routine maintenance on two vehicles. Communication has always been clear, pricing just as expected, and every time there is no pressure when deciding what needs to be done and the best way to get there. I'm so glad to be done with dealership service departments!!
Referred a friend with a 2006 Volvo xc90 they couldn't fix or tell what was wrong. charged for work they did not do. Said they have to charge to call a technician at $50. Now to a dealership. Save your money sadly they don't know what they are doing.
I HIGHLY recommend Jaqs! They are great communicators, I'm never surprised by my bill, rates are fair, staff is all excellent, and most importantly they do great work.
In the late 1980's I bought my first Honda. I brought it to JAQ's on a "hunch" for servicing. I wasn't always faithful with the oil changes and brought my car somewhere else where they told me I needed to also have a part replaced for $400. I thanked them and brought my car to JAQ's for Jeff to look at it. I waited in the lobby, Jeff looked at my car and came out to tell me that there was a tube loose is all, he fixed it and didn't charge me anything. As a SINGLE WOMAN, I was SO appreciative and surprised for his HONESTY (he didn't know me from Adam and I didn't have a husband, father, brothers to give me any advice) that I was happy to return for whatever my car needed. I have moved from the FM area several times, have had 3 Honda's and now am on my 1st Toyota and just moved back to Fargo for the last time. I just made an appointment at Jaq's for my car and am SO HAPPY to be back. I trust them. They always call to explain what /why work needs to be done and then re-explain it to me when I pick up the car. Jaq's still is a small shop/garage. They may not offer you free soda/bottled water/6 different kinds of cookies and coffee creamer/lap tops/fancy sliding doors/fancy furniture and slick guys in suits. The mechanics have dirty fingernails, they work hard and know their stuff. Just how I like it. I've never written a review for anything. I'm terrified for the day Jeff will retire, maybe close the shop. Most women I know have their husband/brother/boyfriend handle car repairman conversations because of rampant distrust. Jeff is smart. He knew 30 years ago that being honest was the right thing to do and in turn got my business.
Great business. I trust these guys. Always gave me the best service. I moved or would still be going there.
Jaq's is the only business I would recommend to anyone who needed work done on a later model foreign automobile. They have proven by their work ethic that you will get the most honest and detailed diagnosis of your vehicles ailments. On a special note, they are one of the only mechanics I have dealt with, (and I have been traveling and driving across this country and back for 30 years) that bring multiple positive solutions to the table. They are honest, realistic and fair with their pricing as well as their estimation of time it will take to complete the work. Thank you so much for taking care of my 2003 Beetle "Priscilla", I know she was always in good hands. Titus.
So much better than valley imports
Knows what he is doing
Fixed my Jaguar for a great price. Very flexible.
100% recommend Jaq's. We've gone there for at least 13 years with our VW, Nissan, Dodge, and Subaru vehicles ranging from mid-90s to 2009 models. Jeff (the owner) and Shaun (the service advisor) are always receptive to our needs, telling us what can safely be put off and what we can save money on by combining work. Anything I can't do myself goes to Jaq's and I trust them absolutely to give me the most accurate work for the best price.
Got the job done well on a Mercedes, Audi and Toyota for us. Fair pricing and on time.
Honest and hard working crew. Will tell you what needs to be fixed and what can wait.
Jeff and his crew are the best! Honest, friendly and open. Willing to help and, above all, very, very, good at diagnosing problems and fixing them.
Fantastic. Fair labor rate, knowledgeable staff, and rapid, accurate service. No surprises, fast quotes and very accurate reporting on the work order. I've only used them once so far- I WILL be a returning customer!
Friendly service and easy to work with. I had to have seized pulley replaced near my timing chain. My regular mechanic was not able to diagnose the issue, but Jaq's figured it out right away. Jaq's fixed the issue and the squeaking is gone. While they had my car taken apart, they also did the regular maintenance of replacing the water pump and timing chain.
